Has anyone had these wrapped in vinyl? I'm thinking this would look better than plasti dipping. I know I've seen a mineral gray srt that had them wrapped in carbon fiber. I want to black out my front grill to match the rest of the vapor emblems. Has anyone done it?

Wrapping them is a major PITA with the curves going every way...it is tough to get the vinyl to stay down. It can be done though...

Do they have these at auto shop?

I got mine on ebay....but a body shop supply shop will have them. You could also try auto parts stores. I pulled my 14' grille rings off a couple days ago and sent them to scotts paint for a redo....LOL

I wrapped mine in vinyl and it was not easy. Thankfully, it's still sticking for now. I probably would have them painted if I had to do it again just because its easier. I also wrapped the chrome trim around the window in vinyl. That was much easier to do.

I wrapped mine in 3m vinyl as Scott did. I used knife tape to 'mask' off the lines...works amazingly well and I only had to pull out a razor blade in a couple of spots. You need good quality vinyl though. The 3m is great.

I had another brand - started with a V but I'd have to look it up - in black chrome. It matched the black chrome spider monkeys perfectly but was a major PITA to cut with the knife tape. The look was a little much for my taste, so I switched it over to the gloss black 3m.
