Custom front license plate bracket

So I purchased a bell automotive adjustable license plate bracket for 5 bucks from amazon.

Then bought two expanding wall anchors and used them to attach the bracket to the lower grill

Then I attatched the rest of the bracket to the mount and it came out really nice. This is a really easy solution to drilling the bumper.

Looks good, but does your license plate affect your adaptive cruise control and front sensors (if equipped)?

Not sure i haven't tested it. If it did there's more room to the side that the plate can be slid over

Re: Custom front license plate bracket

That is a WIN for those of us who must run a front plate. I have just ordered one myself, can't go wrong for $5.

My guess is that if you run it far enough to the left or right away from the sensor, you should be ok, but I would sure love an updated after you test it!

while thats an interesting idea id be concerned of it either getting knocked off or what it will do to the paint from the road grit that will get trapped behind it

That and depending on the wording of the law (im in MN don't know about NJ) you could be asking for trouble with the "wrong" cop. MN law states "permanently affixed" for all vehicle license registration plates.

Think Outside !- No Box Required.
