Dead pedal options?

Had the SRT a few days now, and finding I leave my left foot on the dead pedal most of the time I'm driving. Concerned that I might wear the carpet out, despite that little piece of carpet overlay. Anyone know of any other solutions?

I haven't looked closely yet, but wondering if another one of the aluminum gas pedals might work? It would have to be glued somehow but I'm thinking the shape would be about right and could look nice. Thoughts?

Re: Dead pedal options?

I don't see why it couldn't work. But glued I think it would shift around underfoot when on top of the carpet fibers and feel cheap. Maybe peel back the carpet and see what's underneath and find a way to screw it down. Ford (eeeek) and Mercedes have actual dead pedals that look similar to mopar. Another idea would be to epoxy magnets underneath the carpet and on the back of the pedal. Easy to remove and no drilling. I have no idea if that would work but it might.

Re: Dead pedal options?

Had a set for my 06 Charger

Might make one for the Jeeps or just a standard one they sell... Plent of options on finish and engraves ... SRT logo might look nice with rubber dimples like the oem pedals...

Re: Dead pedal options?

Another option is to get a set of Lloyd's mats that cover the dead pedal area. Much nicer mat and has the SRT logo!
