Engine Bay Lighting

Hey, I'm thinking of doing some engine bay lighting, but just curious if anyone else has or tried to do any led lighting in their engine bay.

Thanks.

Re: Engine Bay Lighting

I've thought about it too, but haven't seen anyone do it yet.

Re: Engine Bay Lighting

I installed lighting in both my '14 SRT and '10 Ford pickup. I used led light bars and wired through a mercury switch (see arrow) to an unused tab in the TIPM. Unfortunately, I had unrelated electrical problems on the SRT (bad OEM battery), and the dealer made me remove the lights before he would diagnose. Picture is of the setup on my '10 Ford.

Re: Engine Bay Lighting

I just ordered the RGB set with all the led's they offer for the srt kit including the RGB controller...I'll let you know how it looks when I get it

it was only $300 shipped for the entire setup so it's not that bad and looks pretty cool in the pics they provide...

Thanks for the link ... Vapor_8

Re: Engine Bay Lighting

Ok so I found a universal engine bay LED kit made by Diode Dynamics. I ordered the kit and installed it myself. It was very easy to install, and it looks great!

Re: Engine Bay Lighting

Found an engine bay lighting kit from diode dynamics, picked it up for only $60.00. I figured I would give it a shot.
