fridge location

with the previous grand version, with the spare wheel under the vehicle, you could mount a fridge on sliders in the boot area. What to do with the WK2 since the spare wheel will be under the fridge.

I attach a picture of my Jeep setup, but how to do this in a WK2?

Re: fridge location

Maybe S.African lingo for a cooler?
Quite hauling all that beer around and get some hard stuff. Bottles of Jack take up less room!

Re: fridge location

Yes cooler for beer, meat etc when I go into the bush for a time.
Also if you look at the photo of my present setup in the WK model Jeep, you will see plenty kit packed in the back.
If using a WK2 model, all this needs to be unpacked in order to get to the spare wheel. Bad design by Jeep when they have this particularly in the so called Overland version. Not practical at all.

Re: fridge location

For others who live in snowy climates, having the spare mounted inside makes it a lot easier to deal with compared to a road salt encrusted spare mounted underneath.

With the present tyres, no flat as yet, but has happened with me 2 flats in in less than 2 hours. Depends on the terrain and road conditions. You will see many vehicles in remote areas carry 2 spare wheels. This is normal here.
