General grabbers

Looking for some picture of the generals in 295/45r22... I have been trying to find a good replacement tire and still not sure of the hankooks or generals... Please help! Do the generals produce a lot of road noise?

I'd love to see more of this truck. I saved the picture to my phone and can't remember the member nor can I find who's it is lol. Looks like those are the generals as well. Looks great lowered on the stock wheels. That's the look I'm going for. 👍🏻 for changing the caliper color!

Re: General grabbers

Im guessing you're looking for a 295/45/20.
When I was researching tires I noticed a lot of reviewer for the Grabbers said they became loud after just a few thousand miles.

The Hankook's and Yokohama's ranked better in every category on TireRack.
I initially went with the Hankook but they had a balancing issue so swapped them for the Yokohama's and I couldnt be happier. Great all around tire. I cant speak for snow/ice traction because I have dedicated winter tires.

Re: General grabbers

I had Hankooks on my last SRT and liked the way they road... Never had a balancing issue but I've heard that about them before. I was just looking for a little bit bigger of a tire and heard the generals were as close to they width of the stockers as possible. I need to consider yokos as well I guess..

Re: General grabbers

I've been told by tyre shops that the generals are a cheap ass option . I went with the Continentals and they are so far superior to the harsh Pirellis it's not funny

I don't know of any Continentals that come in the stock size. Did you go with a smaller sidewall?

Thats my SRT and thank you! They are stock size generals and I have no issues with them. There is less road noise that I've experienced and they seem to perform as good as the Pirelli's though I don't track my Jeep. I live in SoCal so cannot comment on their performance in adverse conditions, I think they have been in rain maybe 5 times since I put them on. I believe the value makes them a good buy but really don't think you'll go wrong with any of the brands you are considering at that price point. Both have separate strengths and weakness, just have to see what applies where, to your area, and your driving style.

Also, I didn't just change the color of the calipers

My 295/45/20 Grabbers. So far so good with these. They ride smooth on the road without any road noise.

Re: General grabbers

Carbon6 and Djjfader201,

Can you guys give some more details (specs) on your brake setups, maybe even the vendor you used...?

I love how those Rotoras look!
