headliner

One of the things that bothered me about the 2013 was the beige headliner amongst the sued and carbon trim. Well, flash forward to the 2014 and you get a sued headliner.
My thoughts are to order the 2014 headliner and install in on my 2013.

Question is, would it be possible to order it in purple? I bought the entire under hood accessory kit plus the billet valve covers and coil pack covers from billet technology in purple. I mean everything. So I would like to match that with a purple headliner.

Thoughts?

P.s. its my wife's ride

Don't know if you are still looking for the answer here. Most auto-upholstery shops will do whatever you want for $200-$400+ depending on material. However, I can't see the suede headliner being cheaper than $1000+. Try looking around. Custom auto work in pieces is cheaper than most think.

you could probably do it yourself with material from any sowing shop. Contact Black Ops....he did this on a 2012...but in black. The problem is the sunshade....it cant be covered and has to be dyed. The sunshade is really thin and its housing is precise...so adding even a thin microsuede would not work.

Agreed...just have yours done in suede. Probably much cheaper and can do any color you want!

Here is mine in dark grey

Scotts right I've done a few older ones and a 2012 the sunroof is not the only problem the sun visors are an issue too they are extremely difficult to get to look OEM and Purple would be tough. I figured out how to do black almost a year ago before all the 14 stuff was available it defiantly was a tall task and not cheap mostly labor. Should only be about 80-120 in material.

Crappy pic but this came apart in 12 pieces before going back together.
Black Crystal perl coat with brushed black stainless replacing the chrome.

The black pearl center looks fantastic. I have been considering this mod on my truick since I bought it. Instead of black pearl, I was just going to do a black with a heavy clear. Looks like you wrapped the chrome pieces in satin vinyl? Do they come off as separate peices on all the areas around the vents? I noticed that your customer didnt choose to do the steering wheel surround? is that difficult to remove? I would imagine deleting the silver paint in the center console would lead to deletion of the silver paint on the doors, side vents, and the steering wheel surround. Any pics of the completed interior?

I'm working on getting some pics up from the Mag shoot this past weekend of the CFR here are two of the interior. The wheel was also done too the entire wheel was taken apart paddles and all and done in the Black Crystal Perl also not a spec of chrome was left. This is actually a Black Stainless paint process I created and have never seen before. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it pics do it no Justice!!

Just to clear things up, the 2014 does NOT come with Suede. You have to order the Sepia interior to get the Suede Headliner (stupid).

However, I was sitting in an Overland Summit with the Suede head liner and pillars and the sunshade was not suede. It was still the same material.

PS. I know it's not actual Suede. Just using that term for those that don't know what Alcantara is.
