Hemi badges on new srt's

Hey guys, I picked my new 2014 SRt up from my dealer yesterday and note they now come fitted with red 'hemi 6.4' badges on each of the front wings.

I'm not sure about them as I like the understated look of the srt. Is this a dealer thing or a jeep thing ?

Ultimately, I can live with them but I've already had 2 old Holden commodores trying to race me from the lights and the engines only had 48km on the clock!

All Aussie SRT's now seem to come with the badges on the upper front guards.
I agree, I am not al that keen on them and have considered removing them.
Mine is DCR and the red HEMI badge clashes.

Really bad pic I took in the garage this morning.

Sorry it's so blury. It looked half decent on the phone It'll give you an idea of the placement on the front wings though..

Basically it says

HEMI
6.4

I'm warming to them now to be honest

If you guys want to take them off, some fishing line and goo-gone will do the trick.

It might look good on my white one. I'm not completely against them.

Re: Hemi badges on new srt's

I don't mind them although I'm tempted to go naked except for the liftgate 'Jeep' emblem. It's hard to go 'sleeper' in the SRT. The front end is a dead give away, then the rims. Then there's that growl.

On the first day driving mine I had some guy in a XR8 Ute want to race me in the rain. Didn't bother. I could see him slipping and sliding all over the place and running into me like all those YouTube videos.

Today I was putting some fuel into the beast and I look over and two young guys at the lights are just staring like it was a Lambo or something. Then the guy behind the counter complemented it as I handed over $100 for fuel. Flattering.

So you got just the half a tank then?

Yep, I'm warming to them now I've settled into the groove with my ride. Still, it's a bit of a magnet for wannabe hoons

Got to say though. I'm loving my SRT. I moved to the SRT from a Range Rover sport supercharged. Recognising it's a much newer car (2014 model Jeep vs 2008 Rangy) but I can't believe the quality and value you get with the Jeeps. Really impressed

$114 for my first tank. Radknight, did they fill yours up before you took delivery?

I don't mind the Hemi badges, but if you look closely (at least on mine) the "M" is not glossy like the other letters?

Re: Hemi badges on new srt's

I'll have to check out my 'M's tomorrow.

Yeah they filled her up for me but it didn't last long as I've been breaking it in and was feeling a bit stir crazy knowing she just sitting out there doing nothing.

I wouldn't mind having only a '392' badge on the left side liftgate to put it into perspective for some contenders out there.

That's odd mate, same level of gloss across all the letters on mine..

Re: Hemi badges on new srt's

Update went smooth...

Wish I'd done the update prior to setting it up.

Assigning the remotes was nutty with the old software

I can only hope that is simple now.
