Lightly Tinted Tails on Billet Silver?

Has anyone with Billet Silver tinted their tails? I am looking to apply a light tint to mine to tone down the red from the taillights, but not make them too black where they stand out. I can't decide between the Lamin-X "tint" color and the "gunsmoke" color, which are their two lightest options. Any pics would be appreciated!

Ugly! I have same color SRT. Do you have the black chrome wheels or regular chrome? I have the black chrome and love the look!
