New Carbon Interior Upgrade and new Momo Shift Knob!! Pics

Made a few interior upgrades this week!

First of all, I'm very happy with the look and quality of the Momo shift knob. Its a highly visible area of the car and i felt that it deserved a bit of an upgrade. Also note that I took about 1" off the shifter column. I feel that it now looks a bit sportier and more aggressive! I would suggest that the SRT guys do this on all their performance cars from now on!

I've also been bothered by the stock silver interior trim on the center console and dash. It seemed very strange to me that Jeep went to the trouble of giving us real carbon trim pieces and not finishing the job elsewhere in the high touch areas of the car.

So as you can see below I decided to finish the job myself. The challenge was finding REAL carbon fiber to match the factory pieces. I reached out to the folks at CarID and they were able to hook me up with what I needed for an extra cost on top of the price quoted for the cheesy faux carbon crap they were peddling.

I'm now much happier with the aesthetics of the interior and feel that it looks much better without the harsh contrast of the bright silver trim.

Also and image of the Black Rear Brow I just installed from Just For Jeeps!

I agree I hate the silver inside the jeeps. I'd rather have straight black on black.
I love the way that looks! How hard was it to install?

Where did you get the shift knob? How much? How did you shorten the length of the shifter?

Well, I guess we'll see how it goes. Who's products did you use in your car that went so bad?

Also, I don't think it will "ruin" the interior. If all else fails in a year or two I'll have the pieces repainted matt black or something like that. Not as big a deal as your making it out to be....

You can find Momo shift knobs all over the web.

I took about 1" off the top.
