Spare removal.

I did a search about this and it does baffle me to why jeep would still add a full size spare to a car that uses run flats... I immediately removed mine. Had to be at least an extra 50lbs

Re: Spare removal.

Do you have the trailer tow package? that always includes a full-size spare.

Re: Spare removal.

Keep the spare around, you might want to use it when you need replacement tires.

Re: Spare removal.

I had a run flat with a nail in it,you could see it was low on air.I was able to drive it about 5miles to the tire shop but it was so and easy drive.
Without no air i feared hitting a pot hole and bending a 1000.$$ srt wheel!

Not sure how far they say you can drive a r/flat with no air but i rather have a spare!!!

I think it's required by law if the vehicle has a tow package. Tires would need to keep the weight capacity in the back incase you are towing and catch a flat.

Good point but one main reason for run flats is the stiff sidewall. It gives better handling. I had a flat on my BMW and it barely looked it because of the stiff sidewalls.
