SRT Headlight X-Y motors - performance different than WK2 Summit

I'm coming off of a 2014 WK2 Summit and recently purchased a 2014 WK2 SRT. I've noticed between the two that the X-Y motors in the headlights perform differently. My Summit headlights would adjust themselves vertically based upon braking and acceleration, in addition to turning horizontally with the steering wheel. The SRT's headlights, on the other hand, only perform horizontally with the steering wheel. Is this considered normal, or is there something wrong with the headlights on my SRT that they are not moving up and down, only left and right?

Re: SRT Headlight X-Y motors - performance different than WK2 Summit

Something may be wrong. If the adaptive headlamps feature is enabled in the Uconnect settings, you should see the the headlights moving right and left with the steering wheel at speeds above 10 mph. You will also see them level out (up/down) on hard accelerations.

I can confirm that my headlights adjust in all directions.

There is a calibration process that the dealership can do. Not saying that would be a fix but it is some thing that can be done.

Well what the hell.

I mean, SURE, I'm on my fourth set of headlights, but the 'up/down' function has never worked!

The up and down you will at least see at startup as well....

It DOES cycle up/down on start, but never any other time...

I think the up and down adjustments while driving are very minimal. As I stated before I only noticed it once or twice under hard acceleration.

You are probably OK

But seriously, I think it is very difficult to see the up down adjustment. Remember the lights only adjust at speed not at standstill.

Re: SRT Headlight X-Y motors - performance different than WK2 Summit

It was very obvious on the Summit... Not there at all on my SRT, which is a problem when towing, as I noticed the other day when I connected my snowmobile trailer- headlights blinding oncoming cars.
