Re: velgen vmb5?

I just purchased a set but I haven't installed them yet because the 305/35/22 Pirelli tires are on back order. The quality is great down to the packaging. I installed my TPMS sensors in them today and they even have a notch on the barrel so the sensor fits flush.

I ordered my set directly from Velgen

Here you go...still waiting to put on my new Eibachs, but life got in the way. Ignore all the brake dust on the fronts.

Those look great bmrisko. I bet they show nothing but rotors and brembos when rolling.

Re: velgen vmb5?

I love these wheels, I contacted Velgen a few weeks ago and they put me in touch with a supplier in Australia which is awesome. Can't wait to get them ordered!

I'm leaning toward the vmb5 myself. I want to get my wheels out to the edge of the flares so I'm thinking a 22X10 with a 295/40 tire but wondering if that requires spacers...anyone have that kinda info?

Re: velgen vmb5?

I'll post some pictures of mine later after a wash. I'm on 305/35r22 with no drop and I think it sits just right. Mine are powder coated and they've gotten a little messed up around the nuts. I'm thinking it's the size of the gorilla lock combined with the efforts of a tech playing NASCAR. Just my guess..

Looks pretty badass! I'm going to this same setup.

Just curious how similar the weight of 22" VMB5's on 305/35 pirellis is to my stock 20" wheels with 265/50's. Anyone have any idea?

Re: velgen vmb5?

Sorry for the long delay..

Cleaning these wheels is pretty easy. Satin black doesn't scratch which is awesome.

IMO, they sit flush with the fender. Exactly what I was going for with absolutely no rubbing on 305/35, stock height, no drop.

The weird thing about these wheels is that road dirt seems to collect around the wheel. It builds up and creates a ring around the inside. I think it might come from the road dust off the tires? Anyway, it comes right off and I'm sure you could just blow it off with an air compressor in between washes. The little amount in these pictures are from just one day at work..

Where they've gotten a little bit messed up around the nuts..

Check out this video. I'm pretty sure this SRT has some sort of drop on it but it gives a much better feel for how they look at different angles as well as in motion.

Re: velgen vmb5?

Those look great! Any idea what offset the wheels are? Think you could fit a 315 tire without rubbing?
