Yep, have had the windshield done on all of my cars, my relatives cars and even talked a few friends into it...

It's only 50% but with all the back dark and this angle it looks much darker. Can still see out fine, including at night...

(Wife gets migraines and light is a trigger so it's not just for looks for us.)

What tint for front windows?

It's the angle mostly. As more light comes in the windshield it tends to lighten up the front some if looking directly on or from the back... I don't have a good pic from the front angle but this one is a bit better....

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1419431112.741209.jpg

A true 15% might match better from some angles but would then look darker than the rear from others... Its going to change some on cloudy days or with the sunroof open too.

Had the rears measured on our 2012 and assuming they didn't change it, the rears actually measure right around 19-20%.

Probably the only way to get a perfect match would be to also tint the entire windshield the same % so the light input was the same from all corners.

You are correct though, I will have to retract my statement that what I have is absolutely perfect, but it's by far the closest I have ever come and from most angles (just not all) it is perfect...

Re: What tint for front windows?

Don't be giving me a hard time about how filthy it is but I walked out to the garage to try to get a better pic in a more controlled environment....

What tint for front windows?

Yep yep! Our sunroof is done as well but again, the wife gets migraines so we did 35%.... That plus the factory tint makes it extremely dark.

Really too dark for me, I think 50% or 70% would have been perfect just a bit darker than factory and MUCH better UV and heat rejection but sometimes you have to make decisions to keep the wife happy and healthy... :-)
