Wheel adapters

I hope that someone can shine some light on me,..I had 305/50r20 on my expedition that i no longer have,, I purchase the 2011 jgc.The lug pattern is not the same...so the wheels do not fit. I spoke with someone who mention wheel adapters that could go on my jeep...Are these things safe? or will they cause future damage to my jeep? I would change the tires to 275/45r20 in the when I do make the move. thanks

Re: Wheel adapters

Sell them and get the correct wheels for the vehicle. Adaptors are dangerous and will change the whole offfset and geometry of the wheels. As these SUV are very heavy, you are putting a lot of faith in the adaptor.

Re: Wheel adapters

Wheel adapters are pretty much the same as wheel spacers. Use at your own risk. Just remember that they will push the wheels and tires out farther cause there is required thickness to attach them and the studs.

Read my thread on wheel spacers.
