You have a new SRT and $4000 to start modding:

Here's a scenario. You have a new SRT, and $4000 to start modding. You're leaning towards speed, but you can go in any direction. I want the JG community to give me their opinions and their own personal lists of how they would spend the $4000.

If I still owed money on the SRT, I'd put it towards the principal and pay it off faster. If I owned it free and clear I'd start with a clear bra for the frontal surfaces and rear fender flares. Man I'm boring. Lol

Re: You have a new SRT and $4000 to start modding:

I'd probably put it aside for the likely court costs and speeding fines.

Speeding fines? I wasn't planning on driving it like I was 18 again. Just want to see what direction some of you guys would go with a limit of $4k to start. I'm not getting a Track Hawk, or putting money aside for an attorney. Have a free one now if needed. Just looking for suggestions on modding the monster.

Re: You have a new SRT and $4000 to start modding:

I'd just sit on the money for awhile and enjoy it the way it is. The mods will come to you or maybe you'll be satisfied with it the way it is. For me there's some simple things I'd like to do like tint the front windows, buy some nice floor mats, replace the stock brake pads with some Hawks, etc. Its a great vehicle out of the box, enjoy it awhile.

Forgot to mention: I tinted the front windows to match all the way around on day one. Installed Weathertech floor liners front, back, and cargo. Interior is protected now. I'm just on the fence about getting headers, exhaust, and a tb if it'll add noticeable hp, or I'll just wait. Catch can coming soon since it's just a good idea.

How do you feel towards 22's and gloss black rims? These stock rims are a PIA to clean.

Re: You have a new SRT and $4000 to start modding:

Get an exhaust to make it sound like it should.
See if you like riding on 20's first, and if you do, get the stock wheels painted gloss black.
Maybe go with the RM mid drop as that will make your 20's fit the "wells" better.
BlackOps front splitter.
Get the chrome trim and rings wrapped.

These should get you started.

Entry level exhaust, CAI, pedal max and RM mids, low dust brake pads, and if there's any left a tank of Gas, your going to need it, enjoy!
