Can you stop the radio from coming on automatically?

Hi, I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee and want to know if there is a setting that stops the radio from coming on automatically when you start the vehicle?

Me to. Very annoying. Why doesn't it just store what I want instead of being such a bitch?

Turn the volume down to zero prior to shutting the vehicle off. Next time you start it - no radio.

You can also turn off the screen if that minor annoyance ruins your day.
Do not recall if setting it to media [and not having any] or some other setting will persist across cold starts.

Go easy on what?

If I mute my radio, it's because I want it muted. I don't want the Jeep to decide what I get when I restart. I want what I set until I change it. Pretty simple request really.

I love my Jeep but I do find that annoying.

Oh and one more. If I'm driving on sand and I select sand mode, I want it in sand mode until I wish to change it. The Jeep switches out of sand mode when you turn the vehicle off.

So there I am driving on the beach taking in all the beauty around me so I mute the radio and turn the sand mode on the transmission. I stop the beast for a while.

Ready to go, start the Jeep, radio blares out and I get stuck in the sand because some software programmer at a desk has a brainfade in his code.

Annoying. I just think it should do what I want. Not a big ask.

I hear airing the tires down helps tremendously.... Other then that, welcome to Uconnect

You can have a temper tantrum and stamp your feet, while still showing respect for other posters. This site is not owned nor run by Jeep, so they will miss the show. I don't think Sherlock posted in this thread yet.

Exactly, I meant go easy on the other posters in the forum.

Indeed a less aggressive approach perhaps.....👍

Re: Can you stop the radio from coming on automatically?

So someone ignores the original poster and says turn it down and another says let down the tyres because it moves out of sand mode.

Give me a break sherlock.
