I use an old 120gb hard drive. Whilst I don't know the upper limit, I do know that the system can be slow to start up with a larger library attached.

gotcha, thanks. Did you format it FAT32? I was really hoping to connect a 320GB or larger HDD.

Holt I didn't actually do any preparation, but I can check the disk format today and confirm. I would think that it must have been FAT32 already...

I appreciate it, thanks. I spent all day yesterday experimenting with portable hard drives & thumb drives and the only way I could get music to play seamlessly was by using a good old-fashioned iPod.
