The way bass should be..

Finally added my subwoofer box in the Jeep.. Spent about $900 all together and I must say.. JL Audio is the $hi!.. Two amps and 2 12" W3 and capacitor.. Nice and clean..

Re: The way bass should be..

Nice, but you lose all the trunk space. I changed my factory junk sub for a JL Audio Stealth box, which is a direct Jeep OEM replacement. Added a 500 Watt Class D sub amp with a Cache Audio bass restoration unit and it sounds fantastic. I'm sure you have more bass, but with the stock drivers/ amp/ head unit...the Stealthbox was more than enough.

Haha I meant they're pointed right at the glass, i.e. you're going to dislodge it (joking).

I considered that option too.. But I just went with the box.. I can always just pull out the box if I really need the space.. Or use the wife's SUV.. But I never have anything in there anyway.. So the space won't be missed..

Re: The way bass should be..

IMHO, an SRT deserves a better mount than a bungee cord. A box that size can slide out or break that.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Maybe some L brackets with quick release pins through the floor?

I ran into the same issue, at one point I had a 2x4 wedged between the box and the hatch to keep it from moving. I think I also used some wired and tied it to the latch on the back of the seat. That was a wk1, not sure if the same setup on the wk2.
