Re: 2016 SRT Night Edition

Some updates from 1-week of ownership! just a touch over 500 miles on it and as hard as it is, I've strictly followed the break-in procedures outlined in the Jeep app. Stereo is good, UConnect is pretty good, I've sent in some app recommendations, we'll see if they listen ().
Had the AFE intake and Corsa exhaust installed, the windows tined, hard wired the radar detector, put on the Red Vapor engine covers, black chrome Gorilla lug nuts and did the red SRT key upgrade.

Love it so far. I don't have a real point of reference to compare it to, other than the CAI I had on my 2011 JGC with the 5.7 HEMI. On the 2011 I had the K&N and liked it, but from what I can tell, the temp's are lower with the AFE and its pulling in more cool air.

what I think funny is someone asked aFe specifically why and was told some clearance issue with a reservoir/cap/neck or something like that. Well, the 16 very specifically has no power steering pump reservoir with a neck/cap but of course the 14/15 do. My 15 aFe fit is perfect BUT it is close to the power steering pump reservoir neck/cap...interesting, especially since someone on here said their relatives' fit perfectly on their 16 SRT....hmm, I bet they think the removal of the pump reservoir was just a new location for them to fiddle with....just a guess.

I'm wondering if it has to do with the build dates, I believe mine was an early 16' maybe the mid years had a change on them?
