Re: Billet Silver SRT - 2014 Pics

Here are a couple of shots that I took today with my iphone. It's just a basic idea of the look and the lighting could have probably been better. I just painted the tips black with a satin finish. It blends in really well with the fascia.

I also included a video of me remote starting and scaring my 3 yr old son... This will give you a basic idea of the idle sound.

Basically it's a pervasive low, almost bass like, sound that emanates at low rpms from what feels like the back half of the vehicle. I feel like it occurs most with light gas and cruising at below highway speeds (in higher gears). It can be loud at times.. I noticed it with the stock exhaust but it really became noticeable with the borla. The word drone is the best descriptor for sure..

My suggestion is if you don't know what it is, then don't go looking for it because once you notice it then its there for good

LOL! I just got home and was able to view the video... You need to send that one to a TV show.

I have a call into B and B (Billy Boat) in Phoenix to see if they are working on a system for the WK2, but I think you have me convinced with that sound. Don't think there is any need to get more aggressive than that. Drone be damned.

Re: Billet Silver SRT - 2014 Pics

I also have a '14 Billet Silver Metallic with Borla Atak. IMO there is no drone to speak of.

If you've never experienced drone before then yes you could say there is some but it's not frequent. However, if you've come from a vehicle with real drone then it's safe to say the Borla is a drone-free system. Overall I love it, but it's not loud. It sounds good on a cold start-up but gets pretty quiet once it heats up.

Sorry for the brief hijack, I'll start my own thread later once I finally get some decent pics.
