CAI's, are they a waste of money?

I've been searching the forum and online for a few days, and still can't find the information I'm looking for. Maybe I'm completely missing it, so I figured that the best place to ask the questions I have would be right here among other SRT owners.

I want to apologize in advance if these have been asked over and over, but anyone that can help me out I'd much appreciate it.

1) Cold Air Intakes: I've read conflicting posts, and information online. Some say they add a few hp, while other websites have said they add nothing since the location of these CAI's are still too close to the engine and suck in warm air. Simple question: Did you see any gains by adding one?

2) Exhaust system: There are so many choices. I like the Meisterschaft exhaust, but will it still pass a State Inspection? Emissions OK with it? Also, what hp gains can someone expect? My goal is to get the '15 SRT to run 4's.

3) Basically I want to add 20-50 more hp and get that 0-60 time closer to 4. Can you guys help me out?

~Ron

*EDIT* I put this in the wrong forum. ugh. Sorry.

this is just my opinion...but after adding a true cai....a true cai is one that pulls air from somewhere other than the engine bay...and a 180 tstat, 87mm tb and a borla atak exhaust....I saw my 2014 Jeep SRT go from a 4.3 0-60 to a 3.7-3.9 0-60 pretty consistently. Maybe my jeep is a factory freak? Who knows? I saw faster 1/4 mile times and better performance. I also averaged 22.1 mpgs on 4 trips from KY to Florida using economy.(only time Ive ever used economy and looked at Mpgs as I bought my Jeep SRT to enjoy...not whine about mileage) Every Jeep will not be the same....but close I guess. Just MHO....youll hear others say NOT. I have vids to prove my numbers.

My setup; aFe Magnum Stage 2 Pro Dry S (some order of those words haha), muffler delete and non runflats.

4.3 = Best 0-60mph; I can consistently do 4.5's without launch and Sport only

22.1 mpg's over 442 mile trip recently (fresh oil, eco on)...I think the non runflats have a big deal to do with the mpg's for me.

I will be getting a ported TB and exhaust at some point...but the muffler delete was a cheap way to open it up a little after letting more in with the aFe

Looking forward to hearing other peoples' experiences

My set up = bone stock, have done a total of 2 launches both at 4.2 seconds and have a total of 2400 miles on it. Haven't tried to conserve fuel yet so I don't know what my high mpg is. It's not my daily driver so who cares about mpg!
