Color Question

Hello, sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I am new to the forum. I just ordered a crystal granite SRT, but am doubting and thinking of changing to max steel. Does anyone have any good pics of a granite SRT? I never see them on here or anywhere. seems like everyone has other colors. Does it look bad? I live in Italy because i work with the military, so i can't really get to a jeep dealer to check it out. Any insight or comparison pics would be appreciated.

Jr.

Re: Color Question

If I remember correctly, granite was a late availability. It didn't take long to become a favorite.

I like my Max Steel Overland on sunny days. Overall, I like the granite better.

Here is a member poll on favorite colors;

These are the best I have for now. The first two are Granite and the last is Maximum Steel. They were all taken with my iPhone 5S in the same showroom within minutes of each other. The pictures show the shade of grey pretty well, but don't show the hue or vast amount of metal flake in both paints at all.

Maximum Steel is definitely darker (looks almost black at night) and has a blue-ish hue, while Granite is pretty much grey all of the time (occasionally, in VERY bright sunlight, it has a subtle brown hue). I'll try to get some better pictures for you next weekend.

Also, I have a TON of pictures of my Granite Overland in my thread (link is in my signature) in various lighting conditions. I also might be buying an SRT soon, either in DCR, Redline, Granite, or Maximum Steel, and will post a lot of pictures of it if I get one.

Edit: Here is a link to some pretty decent pictures:

Re: Color Question

They are both nice…depends on what you're looking for.

I agree with the above, the granite is an actual "unmistakable" dark metallic gray. The dealership had one in when I got my billet silver, and it was so sharp I had 2nd thoughts for a minute.

The max steel can easily be mistaken for black in the right light.

Both are beautiful, though!

Re: Color Question

Thanks everyone!! I actually ended up ordering the Max Steel as a friend back home in the states who has the same taste as me and i trust his judgement recomended it. He also said it was a tight race as they both looked awesome! Now i just wish i could make production, and delivery speed up!! thanks again!
