wouldn't hold my breath for anyone opening the '16 ECU as they never did on the '15...keeps getting more and more locked down...for '15 you just have to spring for a new ECU ($600 ish)...

Someone will work around it sooner or later, I'm ok swapping the ECU, I'd like to go full N/A build, heads, cam, headers, ect

Re: First good shots of my 16'

Ordered the lowering springs last night, going in for a custom exhaust, lowering kit install, and getting the factory wheels powdercoated satin black

Re: First good shots of my 16'

Looking forward to hearing the exhaust. Are you going 3" or 2.75" like stock?

We were going to attempt to do a custom 3" X and mate it to the factory axle backs, if it was too quiet then, scrap those and just run pipe from there. I didn't however realize it was 2.75" I thought it was 3" so that may change it

fwiw, going larger (in and of itself only) than oem will only rob launch torque (not huge) but may give you a tad more mid+...these SRT motor/oem exhaust stock setups are not corked up and restricted...oem setup is already high flowing including the factory headers and a tight performance package so without doing full header back with a CAi and then a tune to milk the new in/out flow setup you will only hinder it's performance, technically speaking...butt dyno and cool sound well that's a different matter

Anyone know what size the stock headers are? Aftermarket is 1 7/8" or 2"

Ya the prior owner of mine cut the rear mufflers off and put what I thought was 3" piping out the back. Sounds great but it feels a tad slower than a stock one. Debating on going back to 2.75" or maybe 2.5" for that 2-3' section. Looking at it closely it could be 3.5" or 4" haha

Ideally Id like to make a GTHaus system but I cant figure out why theirs sounds so much better than the rest

my thoughts from working with Corsa on the custom cat-back on the Summit/HA 5.7l on this exact point.

changing the end of the system axle-back and or tips to a smaller size than oem can result in two things:

...too much back pressure so it may ding power some across the whole band

and/or but highly likely:

..."trumpeting" sound effect will either appear if not present or get worse if present

just possibilities to consider when tinkering...

Re: First good shots of my 16'

One of the main reasons I'm wanting 3" is because I plan to do a naturally aspirated build with a cam ported heads and so on down the road, I feel at that point it's beneficial even if it dings me a little up front now.

I also tend to like very loud vehicles and while I love the gthaus sound the price isn't for me
