Had it for a week now- Parts on the way....

Well I've been trolling the last couple months waiting for my Rubicon to sell. It sold last Friday and that same night I picked up a white 14 SRT. For the last 3 years I have been driving lifted Rubicons since I take my Bullmastiff and St Bernard with me everywhere I go outside of work. Coming from a background of multiple 800-1000 hp Vipers and Corvettes I was missing the power. The Rubicon is much better for dogs but I just couldn't help it. I also wanted something I can still take to big bear during the winter.

What I like-
I love the brakes and the cornering, impressive for a 5200 lb rig. Quality of the interior is nice as well. Even though I don't know how to use any of it, I love the electronics. It aslo feels very solid when I shut the doors. They say that the Range Rovers and BMWs are much better in quality, but this quality and refinement is more than enough to make me happy.

What needs improvement-

It needs more power. SRT needs to get their shit together and come out with a 550hp+ rig to compete with the X5M (I have no problem paying an extra 8-10k). I REALLY hate the fact that SRT locks their computers. The Stingray was out for two months and they could tune 25+ horsepower into it. I hate canned tunes and have never used them, I always take my cars and have them professionally dyno tuned. I had a 2011,2012 & 2013 Rubicon and waited for a tuners for those as well, no luck getting anymore power. The efficiency of the Hemi is not in the same league as far as the Corvettes LS Motors. My last Corvette was an 08 TVS 2300 Blown LS3. It had 833 RWHP (768 rwtq AT 2100 RPM) and got 31 MPG on the freeway. I am driving normally (An occasional 3/4 run) and averaging less than 13 mpg in mixed driving. It blows my mind for 71k they put an Iron Block in this thing and not an aluminum one, cant figure that one out?

Overall I am VERY pleased with the car. I ordered 22x10.5 XO Miami's today in Silver and Brushed (I always go black, wanted to change it up) and 305/35/22 Pirellis. I am ordering the Road Magnet aggressive springs on Monday with the control arms, as well as HID Fogs. I de-badged it the first night and need the black SRT/Jeep emblems. I will also paint all the moldings black. In the next couple of months I will order the GT Haus for it as well. I had 21k in my Rubicon so I will b getting off light this time. Happy to be in the SRT crowd!

Thanks Scott. Can you actually run headers/exhaust/Intake with no tune and actually pick up power? I thought I saw a thread that this combo led to a check engine light and no seat of the pants improvement. I know in the LS world you leave 25-35hp on the table if you add those with no tune. In the next 6 months I will have the GT Haus exhaust with AR headers, Im just praying for soem tuning.

Can they even tune the 12's yet on a dyno? I did a search and didnt come up with anything?
