Hey guys,

I am flying out to Chicago a week from today to pick up my slightly used (6200 miles) 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT in Granite Metallic. Has every option, I've never driven one but pretty sure I'm gonna love it! My buddy is flying out with me and we're driving it back 1000 miles to my home in Burlington, VT. It will also be my new tow rig for the 2014 Centurion Enzo wakesurf boat I have on order!

I'm likely going to use the current wheels for the winter tire setup - I really like the same version of Jeep wheels in the black chrome, but if anyone knows of some killer summer wheels that will fit the 2014 SRT, please share! Also, what other type of options/accessories/upgrades can I do? I recall seeing someone did carbon fiber around the outside windows (replacing the chrome trim) and like that look.

Made it back in 15 hours, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase! This thing is a beast and I really like the color. Got the slush mats from the dealership (not that impressed with them, wish they had a deeper tread/lip to them to keep the water from washing out the sides) and just ordered a Mopar cargo mat. Getting the front windows tinted next!

Thanks guys!

I picked it up from Napleton Northwest in downtown Chicago...I actually found the car for sale on eBay (had 6200 miles) but the guy was asking way too much and no one ever hit his reserve, so we agreed on an amazing price and he traded it back into the dealership to get some tax credit.

In any case, I had never test drove/touched an SRT until the day I came to pick it up and drive it off the lot. Did all my research online and I am 100% thrilled with it!

Do you have the Enzo yet? I was wondering how the SRT tows. I am planning on buying an JGC SRT when the lease runs out on my 2011 MB E63 AMG. I have a MB Sports B52 TWB surf/wake rig that I will be pulling with the SRT - at least some of the time. Wife has a 2013 LR4 we can also use. I'd like to hear how the SRT does towing a big wake boat.

I have a 2013 Yamaha AR240 jet boat that I pull with my 2014 SRT. Gotta say I am impressed with the towing capability of the truck. My boat/trailer setup gassed up and loaded with gear is probably in the 5200-5400lb range. Set the knob to tow in the SRT and away we go. Tows incredibly well. Always had an issue with previous tow vehicles and the boat/trailer would seem to steer the tow vehicle all over the road and sway issues too. Don't know if the SRT has something built into the towing selection or not but it pulls straight as an arrow and swaying issues are a thing of the past. I have had zero issues towing...it's a beast! The suspension is great, can barely tell it's there when towing.

The new Enzo arrives in 2 weeks

Here's a pic of my Supreme that I just sold, but like I said...no issues!

Getting my Borla Atak exhaust installed tomorrow, windows tinted today.

What do you think that setup weighs?

What kind of fuel mileage did/ do you get while towing?

What was the price of the jeep? I am actively looking.

Couldn't agree more Mike and good explanation of the towing ability - there is zero sway, and it has plenty of power to pull your weekend toy. I don't really know what else to say other than it has outperformed my expectations in pretty much every area I was hoping for! One thing that I noticed is that it tends to wind up the RPM's in 1st & 2nd gear off the line when you switch to Tow mode - I read on another forum that going into manual mode and using the paddle shifters can easily overcome this.

As far as cost, it had 6000 miles on it and not one flaw...I got it for a killer deal in my opinion ($62k) - I then purchased a 7 year transferable extended warranty for $650 from the dealer. I believe mine has every option including the upgraded HK sound system.

holy crap! How'd you get a 7 yr OEM bumper to bumper warranty for 7 YEARS for $650! I woulda believed $6500! Jeesh, my 4 year extended warranty for my AMG cost me $3500
