"Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!"

Just picked her up today from Criswell Jeep. Sales guy worked hard to meet what I wanted for numbers (contact me if you need a POC in MD). We hit a wall, I was almost ready to order one where I got the 2012, and he dropped the floor out to get me to take his home now. Today he told me that they actually have trouble with the Red SRTs and that's why they took my offer. Has Black Vapors, spare tire, Pano Roof, and HK Audio. Got the truck for $500 under invoice and $45k trade in on my truck. Gave them a few thousand in cash and the payment is lower than my 2012 AND we have an extended warranty until 75,022 miles. The 2012 just irked me since the drama on the first day you could order them in 2011...it kept going from there with pricing, carbon fiber pieces, body panels falling off, etc.

I was looking at white, my wife told me she wanted red. She loves red cars and when she saw Scott's and other pics it was over. She said get it now (literally). Then added, in 2 years she will take it and I can get something new by selling her 2010 :) The red is really beautiful in person. It grew on me over time. I also love that the headliner is all black and not that gray/tan crap. The nav and instrument panel...do I have to say anything, really? Little touches here and there in the 2014 that make it better I think. I see this like my 2006 GTO compared to the 2004 GTO I had.

For this one, there will be mods.

Maybe, if the OP spousal acceptance would allow green wheels.

Poor guy, that's the trouble with addiction, once you're hooked you're hooked.
Only treatment known is a lobotomy followed by 5 years of intensive therapy based on only driving Buicks or early 1980s S***boxes.

Curious question, what are the chances a body shop has or can get the paint code for Black Vapor that is on the wheels? Are there codes for wheel paint? Never really thought of this in all me years.

(You might see where this could be going ;) )

I'm not sure there is a paint code for the wheels since they are chrome...but any shop worth anything could match that using various processes.....Candy paints, new chrome paints etc. etc

Only have one drive home of about 90 miles. I can tell a difference in the acceleration fro a roll. No more "dead spots" it seems. Handling and comfort seem the same. I don't like that you have to turn the ECO on manually all the time (most of my driving is highway). I also love the new NAV screen and controls, but hate that they got rid of the Hard Drive to store songs.

So on the '14, do the chrome grill rings pop out without removing the entire bumper and grill assembly? I understand the grill doesn't come off separate on '14s, but it's unclear whether that even needs to be done to get out the chrome rings. I know the lower rings pop out easily with trim tools.

yes....just tape up the painted portions of the grille and use the trim tools. Its tedious till you find your way around those things. From memory start on the left side in center and work thin trim stick under chrome.
