Re: Mike's, I can't help but copy Scottina06 build thread..:-)

Got an email from the painter about a week ago with the update on my intake pipe. Although not done yet, I think it looks pretty darn good. They still need to add another layer of stenciling and clear it, plus remove the Injen sticker, but it should come out real nice.

They have Cerakoted it, so it should hold up well to the heat in the engine bay. I believe it is rated to withstand over 500 degrees, so fingers crossed. . The engine covers will be getting the same pattern/treatment. Can't wait to get home to get my hands on them!

No offense but the grill looks like ****. However everything else looks really nice. Please for God sake get rid of the red in your grill.

Nope.

I think I'll keep the red.

The customary introduction just doesn't cut it anymore.

Best way to make yourself known is to compliment another forum member on how "shitty" their Jeep looks...lol

To each their own I guess.

Let me apologize. Overall the jeep looks badass. It's just the red grill I am not a fan of.
Who ever painted the scoops on the bottom of the bumper did a great job matching your exterior color.

Re: Mike's, I can't help but copy Scottina06 build thread..:-)

The "scoops" down low are painted the same color as the grill rings, all of which match the factory paint.

Scott's Paint (a vendor on this forum) did the work for me. I highly recommend him. Great work and excellent pricing.

No apologies needed, just a better choice of words might have been more appropriate.

Re: Mike's, I can't help but copy Scottina06 build thread..:-)

Got this from the painter. It is the first image of the first coating and some stenciling on the engine cover. They have heat resistant tape over the lettering and raised ribs, as it appears in the picture. The yellow is just the stencil and not at all the color that will be on there. These will look very similar to the intake pipe, once all is done.

I wish I could see these in person, but sadly, not for a few more weeks.

What do y'all think so far?

Mike
