element256,

Here is a short sound clip of the exhaust at start up. There are much better videos out there from other guys with this GT Haus setup, but I figured I'd post it since you asked. Hopefully I attached it correctly.

Mike

As far as getting her worked on, I've always had good luck at PBC Automotive (Chantilly) with both the Jeep and my old sports car (Mazda RX-7). Its the type of place that allows you to join them in the shop area and do the work along side of them. When they installed my GT Haus exhaust, I was able to assist the tech, and also rotate my own wheels with the use of their air tools. Christian (owner) also lowered the cost of labor since I was there to help.

I'm not saying they'll let you do this from day one, but once you build a rapport maybe they'll do the same for you. Anyway, might be worth a look-see.

Mike
Thank you

Re: Mike's, I can't help but copy Scottina06 build thread..:-)

Been way too long since I updated this thread.

Some of my upgrades are small, and others quite substantial, but most have not been installed yet. I have found that the Austrian inspection process will fail a vehicle if you deviate from factory specs. Example: If the tires on your ride don't match what the factory specs are, then boom, Failed Inspection. Since I don't feel like spending extra cash to swap out parts before and after inspections, seems I have to wait until spring before these gems go on. For now, enjoy the view.

Can't fail me for installing these gloss black interior trim pieces.

You can just imagine me surfing the net for interior upgrades and happening upon these. Damn I'm a loser.

Thanks to SRTNinja, I (and many others) found out about these Eagle Eye Taillights, so naturally I had to grab a set.

As you have probably guessed, they have not been installed yet, but they will be going on soon. Just wish I had them shipped to him first for the amazing Lamin-X treatment.

Continuing with the "Uninstalled parts" trend, here is a bundle of add-ons that I am truly looking forward to getting on the Jeep.

Racing Brake Big Brake Kit, RM Mid springs, BlackOpsAutoworks end links, and the ever exciting TPMS sensors!!!
So excited for the new look and ride once these springs go on, not to mention the reduced levels of brake dust...

Not pictured, are the brake pads that came with the kit, and the new wheels that the sensors will be "stuck" to.

Back again, with yet more parts.

The amazing team at Billet Technology hooked me up with a killer set of Valve covers in matte black with Designer cut. When it comes to "Art", these things need to be in the Louvre right next to the Mona Lisa. Hard to believe these are cut from one piece of Aluminum.

Now I just need to get the coil pack covers to complete the look.

This blows my mind as people have had the eagle eyes for years...literally..lol. I bought mine like a year ago. Some of the nonsrt guys have had them longer than that.

I guess in my limited scope, I only just found out about them from SRTNinja on instagram. In either case, big fan of what they do for the look of the Jeep.

Did you end up painting the grey plastic on them, or just leave it alone?

Mike

Paint not vinyl. I tried the vinyl from laminix.com and didn't care for it.

Scott,

I think if your custom spray tint, and SRTNinja's current Lamin-X design (thinner looking rear tails) could be combined in some fashion, it would make for an amazing look.

I feel that the thinner tail design matches nicely with the LED DRLs up front.

Wish I were back home in the states to get the work done.

Well...you probably need to see both in person. I tried the thinner leds at first with laminix.com and didn't like it because the leds still showed at night.....meaning they overpowered the tint. So I stuck to following the outline of the led characters. I tested many different combos way back last year. Imho the laminix is a poor vinyl with limited stretch and poor finish. It will eventually fail and pull away from the lense.

Well, regardless of what options are out there right now, I won't be able to do any. I failed my first inspection here in Austria for having tinted rear reflectors, so that forces me to wait until getting back to American shores.

Maybe if we get posted to a more lenient country after this one, then maybe I'll be able to partake in some better more adventurous exterior mods.

Speaking of exterior mods...

Avant Garde Luxury Wheels. AGL31 in brushed Grigio finish. Hoping to get them on soon, so I can finally join everyone else on this forum who has already added aftermarket wheels.
