My '14 Billet Silver w/ IForged 22s

Figured I'd start my own "build" thread.

Mods To Date
- Billet Tech Catch Can
- Bwoody True CAI
- Eibach "Bipolar" Drop
- Black Ops End Links
- CLS Tech Headlight Mod
- GTHaus Full Cat Back with Polished (Chrome?) Tips
- 22 X 10.5 IForged Equip V3 - Polished Lips - Double Charcoal Tint Over Brush Centers - Deep Concave Rear - Medium/Standard Concave Front rolling on 305/35 Pirelli.

Future Mods
- Likely none. Because of my shiny exhaust tips, polished lip wheels, and chrome center caps I need to keep contrast on the vehicle to stay aesthetically pleasing in my eye. The only possibility would be to black out the grill rings as there will still be chrome on the air intake inlets. I'd love for the rear to be 1/2" lower but I'm not willing to do it. I can still pop curbs, tow, and do everything same as OEM.

Other
- My favorite part about the rims is that they don't look like huge wheels. This is because most of the cast wheels people are running take the spokes from the outside of the lip all the way to the center. This dramatically increased the appearance of wheel size. I've had multiple people ask if they were 21s, or not believe they are 22s. I assure you they are. The lip alone if you consider top and bottom will total around 1.5" I'm guessing. So my centers are closer to the look of an edge to edge 20 or 21.

Re: My '14 Billet Silver w/ IForged 22s

Pardon the terrible pics. Not sure if photobucket is downgrading the resolution. The Jeep is dirty in these pics but I finally got the raised center caps in and correct lugs for rear wheels. I hate the raised caps but for now I don't have an option. I have a few ideas but such as getting them color matched to the wheels or looking into custom. I'm not a photographer. These were taking quickly after grocery shopping. Really doesn't do the wheels justice.

Better pics to come in a week or two. I'll get the Jeep detailed and when my RS5 buddy's wheels get in he's going to rent a bad ass camera.

Nice!

Nothing wrong with the pics. The lighting and pavement stripes go well with the color.

Another angle. In pics the rear wheels look like they stick out because of the higher offset but they actually don't.

Love the wheels. Reminds me of the Audi RS4's.

Looks perfect IMO. Perfect balance between classy and sporty. What is the "eibach bipolar drop"? Are you happy with your exhaust setup? I'm about to pull the trigger on the gthaus and worried it will be to loud for daily driving.

Can't say im a fan of these. They just don't seem to flow with the design of the Jeep.

Exactly what I was going for. I'm not into the heavy modding look anymore. When I was a teenager I did all that, but it doesn't interest me now. Functional mods are all I pretty much care about.

I call eibach bipolar because it seems to have split personalities. The ride height fluctuates a lot. Especially in the rear. Sometimes it looks like stock. Other times it looks closer to road magnet mids. It seems like they get stuck in a higher position. Smooth driving settles back down. I've cycked the bushing and all that but it still does it. Eibach rep told me to loosen control arm bushjngs, cycle the suspension and tighten it up. I haven't done it yet.

Yes I love the gthaus. I go back and forth between open and closed. The more I have it the more silly I feel in open all the time. I do love the sound though. Even in open mode it's very driveable inside. It's just loud for the cars around you

All good man. I feel the same way about factory reps on wk2. They dont flow with the vehicle for my eye. I still think OEM spider monkey in black chrome and 21" with more aggressive offset would be the ultimate wheel for Jeep. The style i went after definitely isn't popular.

I think it looks good and original, everybody and their mom has wk1 reps and I don't see the appeal, why make it look like the old model.

Nicely done and classy looking.
