Re: My 2014 billet beast Perth Western Australia

It would be interesting to hear the difference between between the standard, the Borla S and the GTHaust. I've had the GTHaust fitted about 2 months ago and am happy with the sound.

I just find the borla S has a sweet deep nite, it's not obnoxious or barky just Austin martin'ish.

Thanks for the info and for the offer Daz..

Re: My 2014 billet beast Perth Western Australia

I 100% agree I liked the stock sound etc but just wanted to free it up a bit. Coming from a 580hp very loud cammed VE Clubsport I wanted something a little more "wolf in sheeps clothing"
To give you an idea my VE had two sets of extractors and three catbacks over three years to get the note I wanted "very fussy" but the borla S is exactly what I wanted and didn't rob any power like so many full systems have on the SRT's. I don't think the factory exhaust or air intake have much wrong with them....they work. I did put a small video of my borla on YouTube but recording the true sound on a iPhone just didn't do it justice.

Re: My 2014 billet beast Perth Western Australia

I know what you mean..
Trying to listen to different exhaust sounds via the pc is no substitute for the real thing.

Plus I'm thinking that the Borla is an easy first step. Looks good, easy to do and I can always get more radical at a later date...

Very nice Billet SRT, DAZSRT.
Got mine in Nov 13. Originally wanted the Granite, but am loving the Billet.
I have just ordered an Injen CAI. Where did you source your Borla S system?

Re: My 2014 billet beast Perth Western Australia

Hey thanks Timo, yes I love the colour. I got my Borla from cruisin on jeep in wangara. Paid about $1150 ish but he charged about $160 to fit it which was a bit rich.

Thanks Daz.
Your completely happy with the sound level? No drone when cruising? What % louder than standard would you say it is?
Cheers, Timo
