It will always keep you busy learning new methods. Just get your jeep mods done first before you get to serious, it is extremely expensive lol. I have so much money in camera/ video equipment. About triple of what I've spent on mods on my SRT

Re: My Billet Silver 2014 GC SRT Build Thread

A Few night time shots, the car hasn't been washed for over a week, got to love how little this color shows dirt, especially at night

and a quick video of launch control, the weather is getting better, the times are back on track to getting better

Would look so much better with shiney black wheels. Those flat black wheels just look like your wheels are dirty or covered with brake dust.

Just my brutally honest opinion.

I hear you buddy, it took forever to realise that the gloss black rims should have been the ones I ordered from the get-go (I also should have ordered wider tires, I'm not exactly too happy with 285's in the rear but I also wanted the taller profile, and that was the only option I had) so the rims will be painted gloss black to match the rest of the car, but its wasn't that high up on my to do list because I really don't mind the matte black rims, but recently I scuffed a rim (really bad) and painting the rims just got a big bump up on my to do list lol

there is no point in letting a good wash go to waste

and the reason (or excuse) why I'm about to paint my rims gloss black

Re: My Billet Silver 2014 GC SRT Build Thread

trying out panning shots today, took maybe a 100 pics, three turned out above average, this photography thing is tough lol

pictures are loosing a lot of quaility from the Aperture program to what you see here, they are much sharper and less noisy in the program, I have to figure out a way to save them in a different way or maybe export them in a different file format, so if anyone has any pointers on that subject, please let me know

What shutter speed were you shooting at for these? Or were you using auto mode? Also are you editing in aperture? or are you using adobe programs? They look cool though! I am going to try to get some high way shots this weekend. A dallas based photographer on instagram found me and invited me out to shoot with him, hes been featured in every big time auto magazine you can think of. So im excited to get some pointers from him as well as all the good location spots around DFW. Stick at it man, just takes practice! And yes I want to come visit and we can go to Dubai and get pics lol. I have a source there for getting in the tall tall building for good shots, I just need to get there lol.

I was using a 50mm f 1.8 lens on a Canon 60D (which is around 80mm because of the cropped sensor), so I didn't want my shutter speeds to go below 1/40 because I was doing it hand held (like an idiot, because I had the tripod in the car, I should have used that instead, live and learn lol) so I used 1/40 and 1/60 shutter speed, which should give you a clear enough picture if you manage to keep a steady hand and fluid panning motion, the shots I tried with lower shutter speeds were all non usable, also forcusing on this particular lens is very slow, and its a hit and miss, so I bumped up the fstop to try and account for that and was shooting at F-stops ranging from 7-12 and I bumped the iso to 400 to account for the small aperture, next time I do it, I will do it with slightly more light in the sky, and use manual focus instead of Auto focus, also tripod is a must for the perfect non fuzzy picture, so I will mix it up between tripod and handheld, as for post production, I use aperture to just fix the white balance and sharpen the image up, I also use color effec pro plugin for my BW and HDR effects, and I use Photoshop CS6 for any lens flares or removal of license plate etc
the gulf during winter is the best time to visit, november-may has perfect weather, Doha is only a 45 minute plane ride to Dubai, you just work on getting here, between Doha's desert and Dubai's architecture, you'll have more than enough pictures to last you till next year lol
