That is a place where I typically do my 0-60 in my AMG and there may or may not be some fart can equipped Honda or otherwise in the 2nd lane. If its done in a dangerous manor and recklessly a cop "COULD" if inclined call it reckless endangerment. However it still doesn't make the act in itself "illegal." Just my .02c.
No, 0 to 60 in a fast manner in itself would not be illegal, however the OP stated his 4.3 while he smoked an Escalade, "his first victim". No "COULD" about it, 100% of the LEO's I know and that's a whole lot of them, "WOULD" pull you over for careless driving at the very least, more likely reckless driving if they saw this happening. That makes it illegal in my book, not a lot of tickets being given out for legal moves.
The rules may use illegal street racing as an 'example' but the rule is for anything that may violate ANY applicable laws. It's usually a judgment call for us, IMO street racing was implied therefore not allowed. But since I do love a good debate, as long as you're all playing nicely about it, this will remain.
And just for the record, my opinion of street racing is 2 or more vehicles not necessarily many.
