Plastidipped Factory Spider Monkeys 2014 White SRT8

Plastidipped the wheels black today, with 2 coats of glossifier on top. Love how it makes the brakes pop much more, and the contrast against the white is so nice!

During:

After glossifier:

Where did you pick up the glossifier? How many coats of the black dip? I am going to do mine probably this week.

Lowe's now carries glossifier cans in stock

About 6 coats of black dip, and 2 heavy coats of glossifier. Went through 3 cans of black and 2 cans of glossifier.

When doing wheels, do 3 coats, then spin wheels 180 and do another 3 coats. This helps make sure that every little crevice in these wheels is done perfectly, and not missed.

Cool thanks. I just hope the glossifier doesnt make it harder to remove the dip.
I really want the dip but never really liked the totally matte black on a black jeep like mine. Glossifier makes it look more satin.

Yeah, the wheels are between satin and semi-gloss in person. Under certain lights they look pretty shiny, and under others more satin.

The glossifier only adds to the thickness of the plastidip on the wheels, which in turn will make it easier to remove when wanting to remove it. The glossifier is also "plastidip" so it bonds together with the black dip.

Looks good, curious as to how well it will hold up.

Re: Plastidipped Factory Spider Monkeys 2014 White SRT8

It will hold up great, I've dipped dozens of wheels and not only can they last for years, but it protects the surface/paint underneath from rock chips, debris, dirt, etc. When I go to peel them, they will be brand new unscathed wheels under the dip.
