I know what you are talking about. That rear lower corner is tricky to get the vinyl to stay without removing the chrome trim and wrapping the vinyl behind it. We had to wrap mine twice on that piece since the first time around didn't hold up very well on the first day. They used this "primer" they called it before laying the vinyl down the second time around. It's basically just a glue that helps hold the vinyl on tricking compound bends. The primer can be removed pretty easy when the vinyl is removed.
I wasn't sure how I'd like the blacked out look so wrapping mine only cost $100 to do. I do like the look, so down the road I can always make it permanent and have it painted. Else, the vinyl can always be easily removed if needed for say resale. For now I'll just stay with the vinyl unless it starts to peel up and look bad. So far it's been a couple months or so and it's holding up fine.
