Re: 2012 jEEP srt8 Flashed ECU WOW!!

Delta vector, You will also notice the trans shifting will also improve and become even more crips once you put some miles on the vehicle. The pcm is still learning the adaptives along with the TCM relearning based on the Torque output not being restricted by Torque managment. Also your going to love the No MDS/ECO Mode ..

Not that you really care but have you done any highway miles to see how much more fuel it burns without MDS?

I Know, it's sacrilege to talk about fuel mileage but I'm wondering just how much gain we really get for all the pain of MDS.

Sorry to wander off the topic, but this is a good time to ask.

When does the WK2 start "loosening" up as far a mileage goes? Many people have said their rig got faster after 3K+ miles....is this right?

Is the computer limiting the engine until so many miles or so many miles under a load?

Heck, I have been stuck in 104-108 degree temps for 2.5 months, so I havent even bothered trying to have some fun.

Thanks

Sounds like a worthy investment. I hope everybody's trans lasts though. I guess I will wait it out and see who has issues, if any. I would still like to see some dyno number differences though, just to see. Track numbers should be a lot better too, especially since 0-60 dropped .3 seconds...

It's true, would be great to see how much of a difference it really makes. For all we know it's mainly for the marketing numbers / CAFE and makes little difference in real world application.

Re: 2012 jEEP srt8 Flashed ECU WOW!!

84 degrees out now and just pulled 4.9 0-60. Feeling better already. Cant wait for some cooler temps to better my 4.5

When I brake the tranny... that is just an opportunity for upgrade. Been there and done that, a few times. I have a car for reliability, this one is fun.

Re: 2012 jEEP srt8 Flashed ECU WOW!!

Guy's, The calibration works things that are not Performance needed are removed, like MDS/ECO Mode/Torque managment/cooler fan operation/ETC remap/etc/provisions for performance upgrades without check engine lights... Alot of the refinments within the calibration are features that you will not see from 0-60, 1/4 mile and or Dyno, But you will feel a definite difference with driveability. The bottom line is that the calibration makes the vehicle drive and perform better. If you want a ECO/MDS Friendly gas saving grocery getter leave it stock. I would have to say, these guy's that have installed and are seeing improvments on there EVIC doing back to back testing in 100 degree heat, and are seeing good time drops, I would love to see the results when the temps get cooler..How about a Cash Payout for the first 2012 SRT8 Jeep to break the 4.0 - 0-60 mark with the performance tune.
