Re: Arrington tuner? Anyone got one?

Let me try to sort this out.

B&G is now part of Aarington yes

The custom tunes do 2012's only the 13's need a PCM swap to a 2012 still. I have all of the info on the website for anyone to read up on.

The 14's are a ways off still.

The temperament of the tune is better than a Diablo from what I have been told it is in no way as temperamental as a Diablo and feels much better driving from what they tell me too. What does this mean not sure haven't driven a truck tuned by them yet. In short this is actually a reprogram of the PCM rather than a tune vs tricking the computer. That is the major difference again in real real short in lames terms LOL at least this was again how I was told.

Chryo. has not opened up the full blown files to them yet and no telling when they will.

The carbon fiber intake is a rather easy project and I'm sure I can get it done if their is enough interest.

When everything is all said and done yes they will be backed by Chryo who knows we may even see a factory warrantee being able to remain despite a tune.

The 14's are not able to do the PCM swap because Chryo. changed it up again.

Re: Arrington tuner? Anyone got one?

What we need is a true CAI like Bwoody, but with an OEM quality washer tank solution. THere is a guy on the other site who managed to custom fab a CAI without moving the OEM tank, but he is not interested in producing them unfortunately.

As far as a short ram goes, there are enough of them already.

If you make one and it's good I'll buy it guaranteed. Otherwise I'm waiting until construction is finished by my office (mud and dirt everywhere) and I am going to buy the Bwoody. That should be around Christmas time.

My response was geared towards black ops saying they could make a carbon intake. If there was a local shop that wanted to do it I'd take my Jeep there in a heart beat.

Racing Solutions offered to build me one at a related shop in Austin but then fell through when I asked for details such as price.

More than likely I'll just order the damn Bwoody.

Re: Arrington tuner? Anyone got one?

Any updates on the Arrington tuner? Have they actually got FULL access to everything?

Re: Arrington tuner? Anyone got one?

So, I am unclear on the whole WK2 tuning deal. It seems (from the cloudy info everyone has) that tuning at this point on 2011+ is basically a shot in the dark. Is this the case? Have the companies unlocked the 2012s and nothing else? Do we expect a full tune to be possible in the future, or are serious mods a lost cause?

Re: Arrington tuner? Anyone got one?

Chad - Thought about doing a 'kickstarter' type deal for CF TRUE CAI? Perhaps a
'donation' could go towards the cost once they are developed?
