As I understand it, there are no plans to leave mds active on the B&G tune in any mode.

I think it's more of a global setting than a mode specific setting. BTW, I was playing around on the highway the other day and dropped it into manual mode, 5th gear cruising around 80 mph and it was smoother since it never went into MDS mode. I didn't check instant MPG to see if there was a difference.

I tried this because the MDS was pissing me off. At that speed all it takes is a slight incline or a little push on the pedal to switch back to 8 cylinder mode and the truck hesitates as it makes the switch. At slower speeds its not as much of an issue. I guess it's the price you pay to get a little better economy. FYI, I have the stock ECM, I do not have the B&G reprogrammed ECM.
