From what I have read the stock PCM will not let you benefit from the extra airflow of the Bwoody. However, you can and will benefit from the cooler air. When tuning becomes available you should in theory get real HP gains from the extra airflow.
Well thats not really true because with my 2012 at the track i pulled the stock filter out after my 1st pass and i picked up .07 ET and 1.1 mph. As far as cai on my 07 on the dyno there was no hp diff untill 3550rpm in 4th gear. I been happy with the times i have run being bone stock.

Re: Cold Air

I have installed the Injen and I love it! It looks great and it sounds awesome also. It almost sounds like a turbo wine at times.

This weekend I will re-install the factory filter box with a K&N lower restrict filter, but I'm using a reducing coupling and running the air back to the throttle body with the 3.5 " tube that came with the Volant system.
My thinking is that the factory filter box is the only real cold air inlet around. No air from the engine bay gets in there...but I'm replacing that ridiculous factory sound attenuating tube with a clesn smooth tube that should help promote charge air velocity....and that should help torque!
We shall see!

make sure you get pics. Interested to see how and where the 3.5" tube will sit.

OK....I now have a stock filter box with a K&N filter and a Volant tube from the filter to the TB. My inlet temps have dropped over 20 degrees C and my 0-60 time dropped back down about .40 seconds to around 7.0
The stock box takes air ONLY from outside, which I could not find on any system. I don't have as much of the sucking sound some guys seem to like, but that's OK...Was not a fan of that anyway. The GC will growl properly when I put a new exhaust systen on it.

Re: Cold Air

well, its in but i didnt do the extended pipe like i wanted, as scotty says you need to move that big a55 washer bottle, so as i look to be doing a procharger once skip gets them going i will add in his washer bottle mod and do it all at once then.
I did notice better throttle response and a nice sound once in , and it took .1 od a sec off my 0-60 time ( in the rain) as well. maybe better in the dry.

Re: Cold Air

Hey guys, for those of you using the injen intake. Have you removed the plastic panel/clip on the front top side to allow more air from the outside to get to the filter? If so, did it make an improvement and is there anyway way can come in through there and get sucked in? I have the Injen and just removed mine yesterday.

Re: Cold Air

I have had mine removed since I install the Injen and no issues to report. I did install a dry filter when I installed mine to be on the safe side.

would you mind removing that air inlet piece above the headlight to see if you get better results?
