Spent some time on a dyno with the Trinity with the canned tunes, using specifically the 93 octane tune. With an aFe Momentum GT, and Corsa Catback, gains with the tuner was 5PH, and that was consistant over 4,000 RPM to redline.

But, when I tried to modify the tire size, it threw 13 codes in the transmission control module.

As for gauge pages - is there a good tutorial on how to program the gauges?

The biggest difference I found was with the launch. Which wouldn't make any difference on a dyno, but translates all the way through to the 1/8th and 1/4 mile.

I dropped 2 tenths on my 0-60's. And I mean, I'd do a couple 0-60 pulls stock, pull over, load the 93 octane tune, redo 0-60's on the exact same stretch of road and have lower 0-60's with noticiably harder launches.

Re: Diablo Trinity....worthless....??

Thanks - was hoping for more, but these NA engines are tuned pretty well from the factory, and do a good job.

Re: Diablo Trinity....worthless....??

I just purchased a new PCM and tuner for my '15.

I ran into a few issues because I thought my DCX handheld would work that I had for my '14 Durango...but nope.

For the Jeep, you have to have either the I2 or Trinity. I am working with Shawn from hemifever to modify/customize a tune for me, but so far with tune, catback, and cai I have dropped my 0-60 from 4.7 to 4.3 and that was on a pretty warm day.

I'm in the process (and have been for some time) of getting a CMR tune, and to this point, we can't get faster than the 93 Octane tune. The launch alone is night-and-day from stock.

I've got a fastman TB and Bwoody CAI, so maybe that's the right combo to take advantage of the paramteters that the 93 octane tune uses? So stock guys are seeing a reduction of performance? No idea. But I was expecting to see a reduction in performance based on all the comments I've seen, and it's just not the case.

But you're right, the old 6.1's even with no mods saw a great improvement from the canned tunes.

Also, I think the data logging, ability to pull and clear codes, CMR tunes, change throttle response, disable MDS, change tire size certainly makes the Diablo worth it. The timers are redundant because of the 8.4 Uconnect, but they do take it to an additional decimial point, which can come in handy.

Plus they work on so many different cars. If you sell your SRT and get an F-150 you can still use the Trinity, for example.
I was speaking on my 08' 5.7L mainly as I did not install a canned tune on my 14' 6.4L...I installed the 93octane tune on my buddies 14' 5.7L 2wd and there was no change in his 0-60 or 0-100 times (+/- .2 seconds either way). His is stock so I think that plays a huge part in the effectiveness of the tune as you stated.

What is your PB 0-60 time? A couple months ago when it was actually a cold night in Central California (low-40's), I was able to pull a 3.9 0-60!!! Did not do launch control, had it in Sport (with shifter) and Track (with turn knob)...SRT was 2/3'rds warmed up and it was my first pull. Needless to say I was quite impressed and "quit" while I was ahead! I could not see that time getting any better, and I had to scroll through the dash display a couple times to check and make sure it actually read 3.9...that is moving in a 5k lb SUV. My previous best was 4.3 seconds, with aFe intake and resonator delete. The 3.9 was with the same intake but added full cat-back Corsa exhaust. With that time, IMHO I will never tune this beast as I do not need to go any faster than that...in the SRT anyways haha

My buddy is getting ready to get new wheels/tires and will need to update his tire size. Did you ever get the updated tire size to take without throwing codes?

For the gauge pages, I honestly did a trial by fire...meaning it took me weeks to get all of the "right" readings, in the best looking display and layout on the same page(s). You can't hurt it and IMO it boils down to how you like to read certain things (i.e. bar graph, # readout, dial etc). It is also fun to mess around with as once you get it setup how you like, you can really see the changes in a lot of readings very easily!

So are you using a Trinity or I2? I am not familiar with the I2...is it still a DiabloSport product? I will search after this post...but any info is appreciated.

These SRT's LOVE the cold...and I mean LOVE I could never break the 4.2 mark until I added the Corsa (instead of the reso delete) with my aFe intake...with the temperature being the final piece to the puzzle. Anything in the low-40 degree temp and below and these beasts are just absolutely thrive!! I just went out to my favorite "spot" today and could not crack 4.1; it is 72 degrees out. Amazing what a 30 degree decrease in outside temp will do for the 6.4L

3.8 with the traction control flickering. Best quarter is a 12.5. @ 109.

Track mode? Launch? That is impressive...I think I need a ported TB to finish off the basic bolt-ons

Yeah, I updated everything to the latest on Diablo's page - and did the same thing.

1. Updated the tire size, and nothing changed.

2. Tried re-updating, and it threw a bunch of codes.

What is the price of a new PCM?

Seems like a better option to do that, have it tuned for what you need, run with it daily until you need to pull it out and go in for service.

I feel like 3rd gear pulls a lot harder than before but maybe it's just in my head.
Fuel mileage: it went down a tad but that's probably just because I drive it way harder since.
Driveability: I'd say it's the same.
