Re: diablo tune reviews...

I didn't feel a big difference after the Diablo Tune.
I have a plans to change the headers and ask Russian Chip-Tuning Guru to write a custom tune for my ride with Injen Intake and SW Headers.
For the same engine (Challenger) he wrote a tune (mods: ARH Headers and aFe Intake) for a 550 HP.
Proof:

I thinks, it is very good option!

The Sheet above says 6.1L not the same platform for tuning at all.

He will be limited as the same permitters available for tuning are not yet available.

Their is a Kenny Bell build I have not seen any results from I'm starting think think they had issues with tuning it.

Re: diablo tune reviews...

Hey guys,I'm new to the forum.
I'm from Australia and have a srt 14 and wanted to a a tune for extra power.
Has anyone done the dialbo trinity 1000 tune if so was there a big difference in power?
There is a guy here that can install the diablo trinity for me and there is another guy who told me not to use the diablo trinity and to wait abit longer because he can tune the ESU which Is a lot better.
Help anyone?

vvM1LESvv is a name known to all
I've read in the forum the provided canned tunes seem to decrease EVIC times, but haven't heard too many results from getting the vehicle custom tuned.

I'd be interested to here from the boys who have bwoody, fast man throttle body, GT Haus and custom tune to see what sort of gains we can expect.

I haven't seen a single tuned Jeep that just made me say WOW!!!

I actually had a customer spend 15K for 95HP he was so pissed he traded his Jeep in. The Shop told him it was tuned so with that said a built motor and 15K later don't take a rocket scientist to figure out tuning just is not their.

Lets not forget the FI build that runs a tad better than a Non-FI build 3.6 0-60 vs a stock 3.8 0-60. IDK but IMO it's just not time yet.

On a side note I'll sell ya one if you really want one tho along with a supercharger and fuel system LOL.

No Seriously Don't fall for it yet It's just not time plenty of guinea pigs let em have at it for the braggin' rights of the first to throw their money away. I have a build that is on hold till We se something I will not direct my customer into throwing money at money that's bad business.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure if you have a Thermostat exhaust and some other minor bolt on's it could benifit I wouldn't do anything more than that at this point tho' FI Supercharger,Turbo built motor no wayy.
Is this still the case? Demon has a WK2 in the 11s and RIPP got 509 hp from 4 psi. Can the tunes access everything needed to make good power now, or is everyone shooting in the dark?

Re: diablo tune reviews...

I am confident that all the troubles are stemming from torque limits that are not being addressed in the current templates. I have the binaries out of all of the SRTs but as of right now, I am looking at a 14 in our software. I can see the limits that I believe the PCM is tapping, which is causing the cars to slow down. Testing will be all this month and we should have something available shortly.

For the record I was one of the tuners @ Diablosport as well.

We should have this figured out for you guys soon enough.

Is this only the 14, or all WK2s?

As of right now I am looking at the 14 but if this condition is showing in the earlier models as well, it will apply. We also have that 2007 coming in which we already have stuff made for but templates are constantly evolving as we map new things. Do you have a calibration ID for one I can look up? I will pull it up and roll through it for you and report back.

Def a novice you have gotten with me, lol. You want one of my data-logging sessions? I have a tuner coming this week, just let me know what you need and I will try my best (and learn in the process).

No problem. When you hook the tuner up to your vehicle you will be able to go to vehicle info and then show calibration ID. This is a string of numbers followed by two letters. What year is yours?
