93 tune showed 4.5 st kr on hard 0-60 runs. Is this too much guys? Air temp 50 degrees, 75% humidity and dew point was 41 deg. Air was a little soupy I think. Truck ran 4.6 consistently with half tank of fuel and two people on board, truck is totally stock other than tune right down to the air filter. I turned off MDS, added 5% throttle booster and raised rev limiter and shift points. I didnt have the space at the time to do a quarter mile run. I am questioning the higher shift points as it shifts in the 6200 range from first to second and I think even higher than that from 2nd to 3rd....just wondering if the HP is already dropping sharply at that point. It may run better times leaving the shift points alone.

Its hard for me to tell with just an hour of running, but it seems I may have lost a tad bit of low end with this tune. I read where the only difference in the 91 and the 93 tune was 1-2 degrees of timing. Dont know if this is right, but I may give the 91 tune a shot and see to get the kr down some. With the CAI's alone showing 10 wheel horsepower gains on the dyno, Im wondering if I should have gone that route first.

Only difference between the tunes is the 93 has a couple degrees more down low other than that they are the same. Odds are if you see st with the 93 you will see the same amount with the 91 depending on where the knock is. The shift points I think are a personnel preference. Mine seems to shift harder at 6200 so I left the stock shift points. Raised shift points are at 6400

Hammer - I had the same issue with mine. Concerned abou the ST knock - highest I saw on mine was 4.00. But then I adjusted down to the 91 tune and even put it back to stock and it was still pulling between 1 and 3.50 on the ST knock gauge. My initial thought is that the engine may basically do this anyway. So I put some octane booster in it and haven't seen anything really go above 3 on the ST gauge for the past week. I am completely stock as well but need to put a catch can in and looking to do a CAI and maybe T-stat if it helps.

I drive in a lot of stop and go traffic outside of New York and it starting to feel like to me it's taking more throttle pressure to kick it into passing gear. Could just be my imagination but I feel like I may have lost some of that instant shift into passing that I was used to. It's almost like it's either not enough or all of the sudden - way too much.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Just did a run after modding the tune (93 oct fuel and 60 degrees outside) I richened the fuel up 5% on the mid and 5% on the high side just to see if it would knock the stkr down a little and it did. However, I could feel instantly that it lost a little bit of power at WOT from this alone, but my stkr dropped to 2.00. After adding the fuel my 0-60 dropped to 4.8 as well. I guess I need to upload my data and get it on over to Johan. Anyone know how much Johan charges?

BTW, my engine drop to 500 rpms when in gear at a stop light only when the AC is off. I tried setting the Idle rate up in the (when in gear setting) and it would still drop to 500 rpms after sitting a minute at the stop light. I was looking forward to geting the engine at a solid 650 rpms at idle, but something seems to be overriding it. If the compressor is running it holds at 650 rpms no problem

Oh, I failed to mention I actually do have a catch can. I also have an AEM dry drop in filter, but dont use it as people have said the factory filter flows better.

Update: Went back to the straight 93 tune with no moding it and ran a 13.0 @105 Pretty rough road as well. My previous best was 13.3 without a tune.Real muggy air here down south tonight and around 55-60 degress during the run. Next week the high is 28 degrees though...maybe I can break into the 12's :)

Thx..AV. The tune seems to have made the good 0-60 times more consistent. Im gonna drop a 180 thermo in and contemplate a CAI. However, Im kind of freaking now reading about your broke CV, sorry to hear that man. Sometimes I get a skip when launching hard in track mode. It feels and sounds a lot like a transfer case chain slipping a couple of teeth, but it only does it in track mode and not every time.
