14StormTrooper & JVM S/C Installs

Hello gents -

I don't post too much, but Tom and I started our 2-3 day adventure with LG Motorsports in Plano, TX, for our supercharger installs, and my spring and headers install.

Both cars will start disassembly before lunch this morning. We did some morning dyno's on a loaded, linked AWD DynoJet this morning.

Mine put down 357awhp I think. Tom's a bit more than that with the headers and exhaust.

They warned us that the dyno might not be too accurate in base numbers, but differential will be accurate. They just haven't run but a single Audi on the new AWD dyno. They've only been in this facility for 3 months now...

Lots of pics to come soon. Tom took a lot more than me.

Re: 14StormTrooper & JVM S/C Installs

Nice!! Will be interested to see how you guys set your bypass valve. Mine came with the Black Vortech Max valve. If it's too closed it makes an incredibly loud whistling noise when letting off the gas. Still toying with mine to figure out the right balance between sound and performance response. I think you can measure the thread above the nut to see how much is showing in order to calibrate others suggestions.

I'm new to this vehicle. Just watched their promo video and dyno test. This will be installed on mine as soon as I have the scratch! Thanks for the info!

Re: 14StormTrooper & JVM S/C Installs

This is probably a stupid question but is this for the Hemi or the Pentastar. Is there a supercharging or turbocharging system available for the 3.6 V6 Pentastar?

I believe RIPP is working on a kit for the 3.6 motor.

Hello Gents,

Congrats on your purchase and upgrades (and thank you for trusting us with your build) - we all look forward to your results and feed back.

Please send in your Tunes to ripptuning@gmail.com for tune updates, especially that you have headers. This will also grab the most resent trans tuning that's is getting great reviews.

(We couldn't agree with you more)

Vortech has been notified, it seems there are two springs rates available for those valves (they are new). Aggressive and soft. Seems you have soft, our last order may have been mixed up, we needed aggressive. We got that covered, saw your email, expect a response Monday with ETA on updated spring....

Look forward to having you join the RIPP family, you can ask away here or our sales@rippmods.com - Questions always welcome.

You betcha - We're working on the 3.6 GC and Durango next, our 3.6 Wrangler lays it down hard even on large 35in tires. Please keep in mind a stock SRT puts down 365AWD Cold and 345AWD Hot as seen in our tests below. Considering how much drive train loss the Wrangler has on 35in tires, its safe to say you'll be hitting SRT 6.4Hemi power with your 3.6 GC soon...

You like that?

Re: 14StormTrooper & JVM S/C Installs

Thanks RIPP for the quick response! I swear I spent most of the morning tightening/loosening the bypass valve screw trying to get a balance of sound. Glad to hear your on it and look forward to the right version.
