We saw your point and having read through the post we can see how you go to it... Frankly we would have too...

But at the end of the day there are good guys out there trying their best to make sure the client has a great experience. A kit should not require the client to "have-to" go to the manufacture to get it properly installed. (your welcome to) but in our opinion you should always have a good relationship with a local (or as close to) speed shop. Even if its a well heeled import shop, the good ones take pride in doing a good job for clients...That way you have a place to lean on in the future should you need service or repair.

Our kit should go in, in about 5-7 hours tops - so we'd say 700-1000 is fair for a proper professional installation - in our opinion that a fair price to pay a man to make sure he delivers a quality product. At lets say 8000 installed, we have a real well rounded, easy to own, won;t blow anything up kit. In future should you decide to go a little future,, we'll have pulley upgrades to pump it up, but all in the name of fun, not ego.

That all sounds great and would be a solid step in the right direction and at a fair price. I would be one who would even consider it in the future once I see the reality of the family budget once the new little one arrives.

Children are highly over-rated.....

$8k installed for the numbers mentioned truly is impressive and hard to be, imho

FYI - just checked the rules in NSW Australia and it looks like bolting such stuff on down here is not legal without a while lot of engineers reports, emission testing etc etc. Might still chat to a shop and see what it is like in "reality"...

I dropped into SBR OFFROAD in Wangara as they install Ripp Superchargers and ask them if I fit the Ripp to my SRT would it be legal and it wont be but said why worry there are plenty of supercharged Fords and Commodores on the streets and the police leave them alone. I'm not sure the insurance company feel the same way.
