I'm a newbie and I've been looking for an exhaust system for my 2015 SRT. I was checking out the Borla ATAK, however a shop told me that although the Borla ATAK made for the 2014 model will bolt on without issue, it doesn't sound right on the 2015 due to the slight engine changes in the new model.

Does anyone have any experience in this or can anyone suggest an alternative?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

What you are saying makes sense. I spoke to Borla directly and they told me the same thing, which was that it will fit but it sounds different from the 2014. When I asked what sounded different, they said the system has an annoying drone when connected to the 2015 model.

Due to the removal of the valves on the 2015, even the stock exhaust has a bit of a drone - which is the nature of the vehicle, and wouldn't really be exhaust specific.

Same here. I also talked to the techs at Borla and they told me to hold off until they can test the Atak and S type on a 2015. Tech said maybe around spring time they should have more info for the 15's. I think I'm going to get the GTHaus though.

I installed the CORSA cat back system on my 2015. Sounds great and doesn't create any diagnostic codes. If you search my posts you will find an extensive writeup on the installation and sound of this system. You can also PM me with specific questions if you like. The post I am referring to is dated 12/04/2014.

I contacted borla and just got an email from someone there today. I guy by the name of Chris Higgins. I reads this...

Good Morning,
Thank you for recently contacting Borla regarding our exhaust availability for your 2015 SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We are diligently seeking an R&D vehicle to test with, but so far have come up empty-handed. Unfortunately you’re a bit away from our R&D facility in Oxnard, CA. Do you know anyone with a 2015 SRT8 Cherokee who’s in Southern California and might be interested in loaning us their vehicle? In exchange for a couple weeks with their vehicle, we’re happy to provide them with a free exhaust system. This will also greatly speed along the process at which we’re able to sell exhaust systems to other SRT8 Cherokee owners. And if you’re able to find us a test vehicle, your finder’s fee will be discounted pricing on an exhaust system. Hopefully you can help us out; thanks & happy motoring!

Best Regards,
Chris

So if anyone with a 2015 is in Southern Cali and is willing to let them test out your SRT and receive a system for free let me know and ill contact this guy back. That would be awesome, for me, to get a good discount on a setup.

Hi, I have recently installed the Borla Axle Back -Attack on my 2015 Jeep SRT. Sounds amazing... Just like the Borla Video. No issues with fitment/install, zero drone, feels a bit quicker so I think there is some power gain. My friend has a 2014 Jeep SRT and installed the attack on his at the same time... His sounds a little more muted and the exhaust shop tech noted that this was due to the pressure valves in 2014 ... Which can be removed as they essentially have no real purpose.

The part shop had called Borla before I purchased the system for confirmation that it would work on the 2015 ... They confirmed that Borla Rep indicated that as long as it bolts on like 2014 there will be no issues. I think it depends on who you talk to at Borla and what reply or opinion the Individual Rep has... Keep in mind they have a new product for 2015 which is double the price (acknowledge it's cat-back) of the current axleback that they would now rather sell to 2015 owners vs. The 2014 set-up... That's Business! :)

Would recommend.

Ah okay, I was just wondering because some people black ceramic coat the tips on the Borla systems so they don't "stand out" as much with the black lower bumper valance. Have any pics?
