6.4l half covers on old 5.7l

Anyone know if the 6.4l half covers will fit on a 5.7l hemi? I have the older 2005 5.7l, don't know if that matters, but the covers for the new 5.7l's look the same as the old ones.

Plus my 5.7 cover is broken. I would never put an srt8 badge on the back of my truck because well that's not what it is; its a lifted ORT jeep, NOT AN SRT and damn proud, and that would just be wrong on so many levels.

Re: 6.4l half covers on old 5.7l

If you are swapping a 6.4 in, then it seems logical that the 6.4 half covers would fit, because that is what you're swapping in - unless I'm missing something here?

Re: 6.4l half covers on old 5.7l

if youre putting a 6.4 hemi from 12-14...then yes they will fit. Just be sure to get thje covers from the same year as the motor. For instance the covers changed from 12-----to late 13-14 Jeep SRT's. But if you use a 6.4 from a chally etc. they will be different. Just make sure to get the covers for the correct model

Well the thing is the top end of the block is going to have the original 5.7l heads and manifold. Only the shortblock is being changed, since there is no vvt on this motor. So it is gonna be setup (wiring, etc.) exactly like the original 5.7 l motor. Maybe I worded it incorrectly it's only a stroker 5.7l block that comes out to 392 cubic inches it's not a crate motor

Re: 6.4l half covers on old 5.7l

I doubt they would be a direct fit due to wiring looms etc. Im sure you could mod them to fit though

That's a good point because even with shorty wires it might hit the cover.
