aFe CAI on my 2015 SRT

I got my aFe intake installed yesterday and have been impressed with it so far.

Pretty simple installation, other than the clamp they included that secures the rubber mount to your intake was a bit too small. I just reused the stock one and everything else went smoothly.

My buddy wanted to test the suction by holding his hand over the intake port while I revved a bit and it nearly sucked his hand into it...lol

I can already feel a better throttle response, and you can definitely hear it when you put your foot down.

Thanks man, yeah I did notice better throttle response, and I am the same way. I really liked the fact it was housed in a box, and the intake actually makes your driver side hood scoop funtional.

I got mine from Matt at www.moes-performance.com, but Chad at www.blackopsautoworks.com also sells them. They run about $400-$430, call them and ask. If you talk to Matt, tell him Cline sent you.

Really like the look of the aFe in the engine bay and the fact it has an enclosed box with a functional intake. I wonder if the 2015 and 2016 are identical and the aFe will bit my newly ordered JGC?

Re: aFe CAI on my 2015 SRT

Well I just called aFe about this intake and they told me that 2015 intake will not fit on a 2016 JGC. He relayed that there is a fitment issue because of a reservoir cap and they are in the process of addressing this issue. They should have the 2016 version by late summer to September.

Re: aFe CAI on my 2015 SRT

My bro in law's fit on his 2016 no problem. No fitment issues whatsoever. He has had it on for a couple months now.

Re: aFe CAI on my 2015 SRT

I just installed this on my 14 everything fit perfect. I rate this 9 out of 10 only because it lacks heat shielding. I added a piece of plastic to see if it helps. I also have a 6" ram air pipe just under this. I will cut out with a hole saw and dump into the new intake box over time but for now the hole in the bottom is getting lots of fresh air.

I did pipe in my 6" ram air and my temps whet from 10 to 12 degrees over to 5 to 7 over outside air temps. this still needs so fine tuning but I feel I should be able to get it down to around 3 degrees over.

What is that 6" pipe connected to? Where did you get it from?
