ok guys and gals here is the pictures of the production intake from AFE. They are still planning on releasing a sealed "momentum" version also like they did with the non srt wk2. This intake consists of a 3.5" powder coated aluminum pipe that is stretched out to 4" at the heat shield. Then it connects to a reducer that is bolted to the heat shield that goes from 4" to 5 1/2" that the filter clamps to on the other side of the heat shield. This is the biggest air filter I have ever run on any car I have had. It is also bigger than the filter they originally had on for the dyno runs. For those of you that did see the prototype in person its almost identical to that version just cleaned up a bit. All in all been very impressed with this intake. It sounds good, looks good and performs well. It does fit with the washer fluid bottle in place, I do not run the washer bottle due to running the bwoody intake before this one and its a ***** to get back in. I assure you my jeep was used with the washer bottle in place for testing, install pics and fitment. The hood also closes as well lol. Any questions give me a shout, I do believe these are available to be ordered on their website but I don't think they will ship till mid January.

Wish there was some sort of proof/experience/accounts of these crazy dyno numbers. Contemplating this intake over the bwoody true cai

Just got my '12 and only did limited reading on intakes before giving up since people seemed to feel intakes on this engine were mostly just noisemakers. To others' comments- has anyone independently verified the hp/tq numbers?

Between the bwoody and afe I have ran the same numbers at the track with the same tune. 8.17@83.xx jwith the bwoody and the afe went 8.15@83.xx in about the same weather conditions. I have also ran .3 slower in the 1/8 mile with a race tune on vp109 and stock intake than I did on 91 octane and street tune, so yeah im a believer in that a cai works

I have this system. The install was simple and the fit is top notch. Pretty impressed. I have the Kooks Full catback with the Xpipe and it seems now to have a deeper growl to it now. The intake has some noticeable sound to it but nothing annoying. The initial feel is better throttle accelertion. I haven't did any 0-60 runs since the install. Before I was at 4.1 in 30 deg weather. I'll report back what I can get with the intake. All together I like the fitment and feel so far.

They are still planning on making a sealed version as well which will be plastic tubing. I tried to push them to do a molded the on this one. Biggest reason for trying out this one is the bwoody bracket keeps breaking. Mike said he will weld it on at no cost but ups wants like $60 just to ship the pipe back. Idk what I'm gonna do.

Looks very similar to the INJEN CAI system, I like that AFE is more closed around where the air tube passes thru the air wall, but I notice the air wall has some other openings in it in other places that the Injen one doesn't, so I imagine that in real world use, they are probably very similar in results......Both probably do a good job
