Air temp sensor issue

What's up guys. I just installed a cold air intake and I'm having some issues with the sensor.
I started the car to turn the wheels while the intake was off (possibly) causing the problem but long story short... I installed the intake as directed. Looks great, sounds great but now my check engine light is on and the dash says
Intake air temperature circuit high input.
What can it be? Would I need a new sensor?

Re: Air temp sensor issue

These temperature sensors have a history of getting "stuck" on a value. Mine was replaced under warranty after I reported multiple times that the temp value on the screen did not move sometimes. It remained on the cool startup temp even though it was a hot day. The mechanic says they have seen a few of these before. Previously they fixed it by exercising the sensor (warming it up and letting it cool).

Re: Air temp sensor issue

Thanks Mozzie.
Mine went away after a drive around the neighborhood.
I think I triggered the sensor when I turned on the car without it being connected.
