Actually, I have had Kook's sitting in the garage for awhile. Was waiting to install them when I get some other work done. Lucky for me waiting because Kooks figured out the mid-pipes won't work. So when they rework them they will get exchanged. Headers are coated so that will help with the engine compartment temp a little.

This is what I found out

the hardest part of the whole job is removing the stock manifolds. They have heat shields that need to come off to access the manifold bolts. You also have to remove the forward driveshaft but that hasn't changed since the original SRT8's. You do have to raise the engine slightly on the drivers side but that's not a difficult task. The 2 motor mount bolts are easily accessible from the top. Sliding the header in with the engine slightly raised is very easy. The passenger side doesn't require raising the engine. The rest is pretty straight forward. Overall the Gen 2 Jeep SRT8's are easier to work on than their predecessor.

yeah....just talked to them myself. They said its a very straight forward install. Dropping the driveshaft is a must. But they told me that loosening the mounts was not necessary if you have a lift and tools for the install.
